The Spicy Radish is a family-owned meal delivery service that provides fully-prepared meals to busy people, helping save time with healthy dishes that don’t sacrifice quality or tastiness. They came to us for a brand refresh in order to add some spice and sophistication to their look while helping to clarify their messaging.

Brand Identity
The strongest component of The Spicy Radish’s former brand was the spunky, vibrant name. We took inspiration from the name to develop an identity system that was spicier and more radish-y.
The highlight of the identity system is the radish symbol. An exclamation mark, which naturally shares the basic shape of a radish, conveys the idea of energy, or zing. Because the symbol walks the line between radish and exclamation point, the bold and unique mark communicates more than just a radish.
Striking a balance between heritage and contemporary, the typography mirrors the way they are using new avenues to keep classic home-cooked meals accessible. Varying wordmarks create a visual variety and add energy to the brand.
Sustainability
Just because a paper is eco friendly doesn’t mean it has to “look” eco friendly. For The Spicy Radish collateral we used French Paper’s Kraft-Tone paper line, a 100% postconsumer recycled stock that’s offered in a variety of colors. The paper lends a beautiful warmth and texture to the brand.

The new color scheme fully embraces a vivid radish red that strongly separates them from their competitors and can’t be missed on their delivery vans.
Sustainability
The van wrap is printed using a latex printer on 3M Envision Film which is phthalate free, PVC free, and made from 10% bio-based content. While nowhere near perfect, it’s a step in the right direction. (We’re always on the hunt for more sustainable options so if you know of a more eco vehicle wrap substrate, please let us know.)
